Will it actually work, or is this another gadget?

The part that does the work is the enzyme formula, and enzymes on organic odour are settled chemistry — they are what professional cleaners use on pet accidents. Dried urine leaves uric acid crystals in the padding; soap and water do not dissolve them, so they sit there and reactivate every time the room gets humid. That is the smell that keeps coming back. Enzymes break those crystals apart.
What the device adds is delivery. A trigger bottle wets the surface. A fine mist carries the formula into the fibres where the odour actually is. That is the whole mechanism, and we would rather explain it than call it a breakthrough.
How long before I notice a difference?

On a fresh accident, once it dries — usually within the hour. On something that has been soaking into a couch for two years, expect two or three passes over a week or so, because there is simply more of it down there.
And a warning worth having: you may not notice at all, because you have gone nose-blind to your own house. Most people find out it worked when a visitor says something.
Is it safe around my pets and my kids?

Yes. The formula is fragrance-free and non-toxic. Let a treated area dry before pets settle back on it, the same as you would with anything damp.
Fragrance-free matters more than it sounds: many “pet-safe” sprays are heavily perfumed, and a cat with a nose far better than yours will simply avoid the spot you have just scented.
What can I use it on?

Anything soft that you cannot put in a machine. Couches and cushions, rugs and carpet, mattresses and pet beds, car seats, curtains.
It will not do much on hard, sealed surfaces — sealed floors, tiled walls, skirting boards. Nothing soaks into those, so there is nothing for the enzymes to reach. Wipe those down.
How is this different from the spray I already own?

Most likely your spray is a fragrance. It puts a scent over the odour and wears off in an hour, which is why you keep buying more.
You can check in about five seconds: look at the label. If it lists a perfume or a “fresh scent” and no enzymes, it was never removing anything.
How long does a refill last?

It depends entirely on how much you treat. One room a week is very different from a whole house with two dogs.
The pattern we see is that people badly underestimate the first month, because they go round and treat everything at once — which is the right thing to do. If that is you, start with a larger bundle; the larger refill pack works out cheaper per bottle.
